Alexander McQueen is Mourned by Many

The innovative 40 year old fashion designer, Alexander McQueen was found dead London today. He has designed for Sarah Jessica Parker, Nicole Kidman and Lady GaGa who are all fans of his work. London police confirmed that a body was found today and have not released any likely causes for his death.

Lee Alexander McQueen was well known for his other worldly and gothic like creations and has shown his collections in more than 60 shows. He was born in London’s East End and was the son of a taxi driver. He recently lost his mother on February 2, 2010. He also lost a close friend and business partner just 5 years early and it is said to have affected him deeply.

Model Naomi Campbell said she was “truly devastated” by McQueen’s death.

“His talent had no boundaries and he was an inspiration to everyone who worked with him and knew him,” she said in a statement released by her publicist. “This is a sad day to all who loved him around the world and my condolences are with his family. I will miss him so much, he will never be forgotten.”

The Savile Row trained mastermind is mourned by many of his fans and the fashion industry shares the same sentiments as Ms. Campbell.
